Default De-chrome parts removal

Hi guys n gals.

I want to dechrome the rear light surrounds, door handles and fuel filler cap, and possibly the front light surrounds too...

Im not getting them done black but instead intend to give them a coat or two of some tint spray to try to recreate a shadow chrome sort of finish like you get on the E39 M5 wheels... but need to be able to get those bits off first !

Anyone able to point me in the direction of a good guide or know how to do it themselves and are willing to post up some info that would be very useful

Im hoping this may be a nice cheap mod but one that makes a worthwile improvement, fingers crossed....
