Fingers crossed on the decoke

Plans sound nice too I had a deal lined up with turbodynamics on a hybrid turbo they were developing on an exchange basis which I was considering, would be interested to hear what the hybrid is going to cost you...

Good luck with your plans...

When I spoke to the local dealer about it, they offered to do the work for around £1100 after goodwill. Never had it done as it seems happy running on super unleaded.

Be interested to see how you get on with the local dealer...

I'm considering buying a boroscope and doing the inspection work, and the decokeing myself. A friend has offered to remove the head if that's the case.

I'm thinking about it. In going to speak to mini about it again once I get the car in for the recall.

FFS, I haven't had a recall letter but am sure mine needs it. Maybe we should go in at the same time, pretend we don't know each other, and cause havoc

Too right, when I called last they said they would not look at it until I had a letter.

Give MINI customer service a call with the chassis number, perhaps you fall just outside of the recall batch Nik - remember Albatross had hill start assist and was only 3 months newer than Ewok

Thats odd - I still havent had a letter but have had it done now so I booked in even before they got round to sending it...

Its no skin off their nose to do it so I wonder why they are being annoying ? With your reg/chassis no they can check their system to see if you need it or not regardless of whether you have a letter come through or not....
