I would go for an S and then mod it... The JCW's are good and very quick, but are rather expensive... Earlier r56's can now be picked up quite cheaply too... A few choice mods and you are laughing... (Good to see you back on here Tony...
)

R56 S then tune it , its not worth all the extra money going for a JCW when you can easily, and relatively cheaply get it more powerful then a jcw.

sounds like the S is the way forward. I drove a clubman S yesterday and loved it. Looks like I might have a mini soon :-)
