Default Dooper Fuel - V-power vs usual stuff

This goes out to all the Dark Side Mini owners!

Having just turned from the way of the petrol pump I always used to put V-Power in my VXR to give it a bit more kick and actually get about 30 miles more out of a tank. My question is, would putting V-Power Diesel in my Dooper see any benefits at all, or would this only benefit cars like the forthcoming Dooper S, twin turbo diesels etc?

Just wondered if anyone had tried the 'good stuff' and noticed anything. Otherwise I might well be a guinea pig

Never tried V-Power diesel, used to run it all the time in the JCW but TBH that was more to keep the tune happy than anything else - the extra miles to a tank were a bonus...

How much extra is it for the diesel good stuff now ? The petrol version was basically an extra 3 - 5p a litre from memory...

Is the diesel version of V-Power supposed to give more power or is it just to clean out the engine ? In a diesel car I think I would be more interested in getting better mpgs than for any power gain - not sure if the extra £s would be worth it or not...

Experiment may be needed I feel....

I think you're going to be a guinea pig young man. It's got to give your quite a few extra MPGs to paid for the extra pump price.

Let us know how to get on

My old dear only uses the better fuel in her motor but I could not say if that would benefit a smaller diesel engine
If u do try it let me know cause I'm tring to get hold of a diesel demo

I shall assist in this! Previously i had a remapped a3 1.9 tdi and i noticed a difference to the car, maybe just me, but it felt like it pulled away better at around 60-65 mph in 5th gear on the motorway and felt a bit more responsive in general maybe it was a placebo effect though.... also it did improve the mpg i could squeeze and extra 30 - 40 miles out of it.
