Default blacking grill and headlight chrome surrounds??

Hi,

After checking out a few minis at the NMD in Kettering I have decided that as long as its not too difficult that I would black out the chrome around my headlights and front grill.

Is it difficult to do? Which product is the best to use? Is it permanent?

Thank you for any advice!

PaulC did that on his 'S', I don't think it's too difficult as the rings remove reasonably easy...you then either use a vinyl or paint. The vinyl is probably a good idea if you're not 100% sure.

What year is your car? If it's post July 2004 model, you'll have the flat faced grill surround which you could also vinyl.

I've wrapped headlight rings in the past. It isn't that difficult and is fully reversible. Mine have been sprayed in Hyperblue and I really like the look. The parts aren't that expensive so if I ever need to go back to standard, I'll just swap them out...
