Can you provide more information? Year, mileage etc... Anything about the car will help...

With the Classic Mini condition is more important then anything else tbh, you need to make sure that the basic structure is sound. Replacement body panels are relatively cheap however repairs to the body shell itself can be very expensive so start with checking floor pans, inner and outer sills and inner wings, boot floors including the battery box and subframes.

Yes its one of the classic ones.
Well i know it needs a new subframe and scuttle but im pretty sure they arent too much, im not sure of condishion and everything yet, but APPARENTLY the mini black is a ltd and is worth more?
is this true? thats the main thing i need to know.

I can only find reference to a Jet Black Ltd Edition that was launched in February 1988, production run was 1,000 vehicles. Jet Black logos were fitted to the rear side panels and boot lid.

In general any limited edition is worth getting and usually holds a premium over the standard vehicle due to the additional kit that limited editions usually have fitted to them.

You might try looking here http://www.minilimitededitions.co.uk/

Lowandslow on here would give you a good idea on values, he doesn't get on often so try sending him a PM.

yes sounds very much like a jet black there was the other LTD ED to go with it called a 'red hot' in yes you have guessed it red paint LTD ED's can hold their price better but only really in tip top condition. it really is a matter of what the car is like more than what it is if that makes sence. £500 for any classic in fair condition is a good price. where are you based maybe i could pop over and give you a few pointers of what to look for.

hope this helps
