Hi Steve, welcome to MCUK! That is exciting news about the MCS, although September must feel like an eternity to wait! I hope you enjoy your stay.

Well thanks for all the kind responses....

I've hit a dilemma today though.... As I haven't placed the order yet I was going to change the colour to Red, with black roof and bonnet stripes, but the wife is pushing for Pepper White.

What I could do with is a couple of pictures of the MCS in red as above, or an all black one to help me make up my mind (it's not going to be white - there's far too many of them around

Cheers,
Steve

How about an all red one saw one tonight looked really good don't see many with body colour roof, check out mini cherished there are usually some red with black roofs on there they do look nice in red, plus black or white will be difficult to keep looking clean.

Well I can't help with a photo but I saw a red and black, with black strips and aero-kit passed me this evening. It did look very tasty even though I am partial to Chili Red. He even waved which was all the more surprising.

Well I committed to the order today:

Cooper S
Chilli Red
Black Roof & Bonnet Stripes
Chilli Pack
Visibility Pack
Seats in black/black
Multifunction Steering Wheel
Limited Slip Differential
Centre Arm Rest
Colour Line Dark Grey
Interior Trim Piano Black
17" Crown Spoke Alloys finished in black.

I got a very good deal from Anthony @ Berry Heathrow, Sept 1st just seems so far away

Still, I have my FireBlade to keep me going until then

Now, where's all the Mini mags for me to read ?

Any meets in the West London/Surrey or Berkshire areas ?

Regards,
Steve

Glad to see that we have another biker on the forum

See that you went for the visibility pack, it's a must as far as I'm concerned.

We've not had any meets in those locations yet, if you can suggest a suitable pub that does good food with decent parking we could look at arranging something I'm sure

Yeah I thought about that... I really liked the quick clear screen on the ST so I decided it would be worth it.

Hmmm, something else for me to think about. One of the obvious places is the Ace Cafe just off of the A406, many car clubs meet there on weekday evenings. There's a few others too, I'll put my thinking cap on.

We sometimes go to the Ace Cafe on Mini Night (1st Thursday of the Month) however you do get some really obnoxious Classic Mini owners there who think that the only Mini to have is a Classic and make disparaging remarks about the BMW Mini which becomes a bit tedious after a while.
