Jesus dude that damage is unbelievable!!! you are so lucky you didn't crash with the wheel in that sort of state!!!
I really hope they sort it all out for you soon rather than having to wait 3 months!!! Sorry to hear it mate.

damn that is significant !!! You shouldnt have to wait that long to get it resolved - as has been said there is no way you would be able to get away with that if it was the other way around...

Is there a consumer group or something that can give advice on how to push this through quicker ??

It's daft, if they get it sorted quicker then surely they won't be paying for 100 days of car hire - which I'm sure your insurance company will be wanting to charge them.

i would be inclined to take the tyer down to the local council and dump it on someones desk,they cant ignore it if its in front of them,i did threaten to do that last year with a doggy-poo situation,but luckily for me and them they cleared it up
