Default For those with a Mynes Tune

Please take the time to read the following. I'm sure you'll find it an interesting read. I'll soon be posting a thread about my experiences and why my car has been off the road for 8 months.

Mynes Tuned...Is your's? Mine's Broke!

Oh dear, that thread is going to go downhill big time when you post up your experiences. Needless to say, these things need to be out in the open as it seems to be a common factor of the Mynes tune...

Not good, although (and I may have misinterpreted here) wasnt the issue more the poor rebuild or the initial issue ?

8months is a long time, hope you get your car back soon joe

I know what caused my car to go south and I'm not sure when I'll get it back. Full engine rebuilds are rather expensive

The more I read that thread the more it seems to be an issue with:

1. Not checking the engine prior to the tune, ie no health check
2. Poor rebuild
3. Poor customer support.

Im not convinced by the evidence in that thread that it has anything to do with the ecu tune...

I dont know the full picture or other peoples stories (odd as a forum is normally full of problems rather than sucess stories) but for that guys car I dont think its the tune thats caused the problems he had... ??

His first engine died just after the Mynes tune and then the following build was shocking to say the least. My car will be rebuilt and will hopefully be better than what I had before when it was running A1.

True, but no evidence it was down to the tune from what I can see. Only if he had had the engine inspected before the tune, and been given the all clear, could he be able to say it was definately the tune. This hasnt happened and so it is speculation... sucks for the owner but I would guess he would need more than just the timings of it all to proceed with any litgation if thats the route he intends to go down...

Hi Sef,

Any news when you aim to get yours back on the road? I'm working on a project of my own with Neil at the moment as I've just purchased a r53'S to be stripped out.
