also the cooper s engines are about 1700 to buy, for a audi/vw you can get one for roughly 600-800

audi/VW engines may be cheaper, but will cost so much more to fit... The fabrication costs will be very high. That is if they can be squeezed in.
@Gav My car is away having some work done to it. I 've been testing/running v2 of the Be-Kool FMIC. The results from it are very promising indeed. Hope to get my car back soon.

the audi set up sounds like a ball ache to me , surely the s set up would work out easier / cheaper in the long run

That was another option I thought of, my friend is quite a specialist in conversions and said he is willing to do it on the cheap so I thought I'd bite his hand off and go mad for it lol
