Default Ice

I'm thinking of changing the stereo in my car and was wondering what people recommend as a replacement.

Must be iPodable... Future proofing (just removed my Dension IceLink due to not having an iPod at this time)
USB port would be helpful.

All thoughts and comments welcome...

May not be what you are looking for, but i currently have a Sony CD player in my car that has a USB port built into it as well as having bluetooth so i can use it as handsfree. Cost me about £100 a couple of years ago, but you may be wanting something a little flasher than that!?

I had an Alpine in my Cooper complete with iPod connection and really liked it. If in the market for a h/u I'd go Alpine again.

Possibly worth checking with mikey to see what deals he has on offer ? I was going to go that route but managed to get the H/K system fully fitted for £250... easily cheaper than any other upgrade plus it kept the OEM headunit which was a plus point for me as it all looked stock...

What is it your wanting to do exactly ? Just change the head unit or new speakers an amp too ??

Just had a Ripspeed (yes Ripspeed lol) Unit fitted (photos will be on my photo thread soon!). It was a bargain from Halfrauds, & although not normally a place I would go to, it was too good an offer to turn down

Am really pleased with it and it is iPod connectable. Although it didnt come with the cable so have just ordered one

I also has a USB and SD/MMC card slot....not forgetting the all important tuner and CD player. Oh & i almost forgot....its a DVD player as well

Does it require any special wiring? At that price it's a steal...
