Default White alloy cleaning suggestions...

Does anyone have experience of cleaning white alloys - they seem to get tar like spots/impregnated black stuff on the area near the air valve which is a right bitch to remove.

It will come of with a fingernail scraping it, but on 4 wheels it's gets pretty hard work.

Suggestions welcome

dont quote me on this but i think you can use T-cut on them.. my dad used to use it on his wheels when they had the tar stuff on them and it seemed to do the trick

try claying the wheels with a medium to aggresive clay that might do the trick or first off use some less diluted wheel cleaner and a firmer wheel brush and see how that goes

I'd already tried most of the wheel cleaners on the market and none seem to touch these black specs.

The DoDo Purple clay bar arrived with the lube lunch time, and although it's still going to be hard work it's a lot easier than a sore finger nail.

I'll try to post up some before and after shots over the weekend.

I'd give that 10 out of 10 - thanks Paul

Also a complete wash, wax and paint sealant helped to keep my clean for a long time. I think I need to spend a day doing them properly.
