Default Good Detailing products

With the upcoming detailing meet I was wondering whether Andy or Paul would be able to source some detailing products for people to buy and pick up at the meet or after...

Once the detailing demonstration has been completed people Im sure will be eager to get on to trying the techniques themselves so I thought it may be good for paul/andy to suggest good products for peoples cars and then perhaps, if it were possible, try to put together a group buy ??????

I like dodo juice stuff and am after some red mist tropical sealant but would like some good wax and some APC for my car... and possibly some products that are best for black paintwork (perhaps make suggestions for products for dark colours and also those best for lighter colours)

Im sure others may be interested in some good products so thought maybe this was a good chance for you guys to suggest some and then some discount being negotiated for people to buy ??? Not sure if you have a source for your cleaning products that would be open/willing to do a group buy / bulk order discount - assuming we got enough interest obviously...

Is this something that could be possible ??? Does this make any sense ??

Just a thought

Sounds like a good idea Dave.... I use the Dodo Juice red mist tropical as it's much better than the original red mist, that dried out too quickly and left stains on the body work!!

i will have a word with andy see what we can do ,thing is if people want stuff i dont mind ordering stuff for people but it would probably be better if they use the site i use which is
www.cleanyourcar.co.uk
very reliable and reasonable too
apc good shout and wax im biased as i like dodo juice probably for your car dave either blue velvet or purple haze both give awesome shine and durability.
i think the best thing to do is wait till we have the meet ,try the products before you buy and then you can see if you really like them

Ok mate, nice idea Happy with dodo stuff - worked a treat last time andy used it on mine... I think the slightly softer wax would be best as i dont have a rotary and im a big girl so would get tired arms with harder wax

do you mean polish or wax as wax takes about 5-20mins(car size dependent) to apply normally by hand ,you can apply wax with rotary but i like to do it by hand (joke in there somewhere)
polishing can take up to 6-8 hrs ) depending how defective the paint work is ,purple haze is a soft wax that might suit ,again we will show you a few bits on the 11th and you can try it yourself maybe use both hands (tired they get) lol

I've got to agree with the Dodo items, they work a treat, and the hard wax is a breeze to put on and take off - a little pot lasts ages.

I also do it by hand without the use of electrical appliances I think there are some pics on here somewhere of 'Albatross' with a post Dodo polish.
