Default Headllight ring removal?

Has anyone removed the Zenon headlight rings from a pre-facelift model before? Just wanted some advise on how to do it.

Just abit more of my de-chroming mission and I need to remove the headlight rings. I know I have to remove the whole headlight from the bonnet but dont want to have to heat up & prise apart the clear plastic from the main body if I don't need to.

They are held on by clips and do break easily... I found it's best to warm them up with a hair dryer (you'll have to borrow your mates again... ) The extra warmth makes them slightly more flexible...

Are you going for a vinyl wrap or sprayed?

Cheers Joe... that's good advice about the warming up to make them more flexible. Yep you're right about having to borrow my mates hair dryer again.... can't remember the last time I saw mine! lol

Not letting on at the moment mate but pics will be revealed shortly as I've done a few things lately and most unlike me I haven't posted any pics up yet

I'll also be able to sort out the fly-eye tint while the rings are off

The fly-eye stuff is easy enough to fit with the rings still in place... Looking forward to seeing what you've been up to though...
