Default Interior front door trim removal

Has anyone on here had the interior front door trim removed before on a R53? I don't mean the doorcard itself but the arm bolster and the surrounding plastic bit.

Basically I want to colour code mine to the same as the exterior paintwork so I got the paint mixed up specially at the weekend and then went to take them off yesterday but have noticed that they are actually plastic rivetted on to the doorcard.

I can easily chisel these off to remove them, as that's what I did when I retrimmed my 206, and then use small self tapping screws to attach them back on again from behind the doorcard. but I don't want to do it if there's nothing behind the plastic bits for the self tapping screws to attach to once the plastic rivets have been chiselled off.

Any advice would be appreciated

Might be worth speaking to Robin at RJM as I know he's done this for a few people!

the leather armrest can be slid out there is a clip at the front of it at the side facing the dash but you have to slide a tiny screwdriver in behind it, rather tricky to get it right.

but the actualy silver surround and lumbar are plastic welded all the way round, i am doing the same currently with plush so we looked at it last thursday. You have to heat up the 6 - 8 tabs around the oval and remove it bit by bit to save the tags to put it back, i think when i put it back i might put some fibreglass filler around it aswell as its not sposed to be removed and refitted, but that doesnt mean it cant be done

but yeah thats how you do it
