Default A Bitter Ending to a Sweet Love Affair!

Unfortunatley My Mini got written off a couple of weeks back and now I am in a battle with BMW over the Service Pack which I "DIDN'T" use and now want a refund for!
Surely I can understand if it was a warranty, you take it out knowing you cant refund it, but if you pay in advance for a service on your car and don't have it surely you are entitled to your (£300) money back.

Can anyone shed some light on this?!

It's ashame, was considering getting an new 135i coupe. Guess I will just have to get the Audi S3 now.

Cheers

That's rubbish news...afraid I can't help with your query other than to comment that you should keep pushing them, you're right to say that it's basically a service being paid in advance rather than a warranty IMO.

Crap news about your car!!!

135i coupe... mmmmm I want one of those.... I too am not allowed though due to poor BMW relations (the GF has said no as shes fed up with their excuses/mistakes)... luckily I cant afford a new car anyway!!

I agree with your logic and would want the money back for the servicing but its typical BMW IMO - perhaps fair enough if you had used part of the servicing, say you had used an oil service say, but if nothing has been used then surely you should be able to get your money back??? SOrry cant help... Anything written in the small print on the TLC???

Sorry to hear this, I thought that mine was going to be written off after I was savaged by a Hungarian registered truck on the M25, however it looks like they are going to authorise repairs, I'm justing waiting for comfirmation.

Not good news, shame to lose a MINI.

As for the TLC packs, they are purchased with the vehicle, and not transferrable to another one - it is joined at the hip to the car. The only hope would of been to get the price of the pack from the insurance company as it was effectively written off with the car, but they would probably argue something like it was a non standard modification to a factory vehicle that was not declared.

The only leverage you might have is the 135i coupe and getting some good will money off this in lieu of the TLC pack price.

Good luck in the fight to at least get some of it back.
