Default Tlc xl

TLC XL worth it or not? - £380.00

I have one voucher left in my TLC pack for its 2nd Oil Service.

I also need a brake fluid change...

The XL package covers the brake fluid change, another oil service and the Inspection 2 service. (inspection 2 includes the changing of spark plugs, SC belt etc, which I won't want doing)

Is it worth getting or should I just be happy with the fact that my current TLC voucher is still valid and use that and then pay for all the other requirements as and when needed?

The bonus of TLC XL is that I'll have Mini stamps in my service record...

That is basically why I got mine...

You have slightly different requirements as your car will need nonstandard replacement plugs belt etc... How much is it for 1320 to do the Inpsection II and oil services? It may be cheaper to get 1320 to do it as you will need to have performance parts changed instead of OEM...

The fact that I would have dealer stamps won it for me in then end as I was considering selling my car at the time, no other reason...

It has it's advantages if you would ordinarily get your car serviced through an authorised MINI dealership as you save money and have that peace of mind that it's already paid for.

But I would be interested to see how much this is available for elsewhere e.g. 1320...

Stamps in the book are only really good if you're thinking of selling at any point but doesn't hurt to bear it in mind.

Sef: as your car is modified do you not service in between TLC dates/periods?

With people such as MODNMINI around I'm not sure of the value of TLC XL i.e. TLC MINI service is very basic

I did not bother with XL

All in my opinion of course

Evening Sef, under item 7 of the terms and conditions of TLC xl it's unlikely that they will give it to you. link here

I think this is one of the first time that I have seen this in a MINI document - also not surprisingly there is very little info online about the servicing costs if your don't use TLC.

Well they said I could have it as they know my car... Price on the web is £380 though... As Rigsey says though I need more frequent oil changes etc... So I think that's answered my question...
