Default Drying

As the weather is starting to look better I am getting quite excited about getting out there and giving the car a well deserved spring clean.

I am fairly content with my washing routine and seem to have got it down to a tee but the bit I hate because I can never get the result I am after is the drying!

I have got a synthetic shammy which is okay for getting the majority of the water off and I have a Meguiars waffle weave water magnet which is okay but it gets too wet and isn't particularly good for drying. I then end up going over it with quik detailer and a micro fibre cloth to get the last of it off.

Does anyone use something which they find good for drying? I don't want too many cloths, I'd just like one that works!

I do remember Paul Martin mentioning a spray which helps dry the car, I can't remember what it was called though...

I use two cheap microfibres for drying. I find they do the job just fine, and much better than a £13 Meguiars towel I had! Would be interested to find out about the spray though - I think you can use the good 'ol Quicky D for drying assistance.

I use the Autoglym synthetic leather and think that it's the best thing since sliced bread. I then use a microfibre towel with some window polish just to remove any blemishes and watermarks from the windows.

I'm with the micro fibre crowd for the drying off, but I normally still need to finish off the albatross with a bit of wax or quick detailer to stop the water marks showing.

this is the best drying towel i have ever used ,it dont get wet and soggy one bit and its got little pockets you put ya hands in and you can glide your way around the car controlling the towel ,dried a range rover without wringing it out ,another great drying aid is last touch by meguirs or something a little spesh (pricey)is a product called time to dry by DODO JUICE ,its a bead disperser which breaks down the beads into sheeting which makes it easier to dry also can be used as a quick detailer and it smells great .
here is link for the towel,

towel/prod_154.html
the dodo spray is also on the same site just do a search for dodo juice and voila!!!
hope this helps
