Default had an accident

I bought a 4 litre castrol edge oil can put it in my boot and it must of had a dodgy seal as I woke up and it was all gone into my boot carpet drained through into my battery well

after a lot of soaking up I sorted out the battery and reattached but the carpet has started to disengrate so wondering as I am currently building a boot install shall I just ditch the carpet anyway?

Wat do you think?

I would, that will start to stink soon, if it has't already. You'd be able to pick up a new carpet from Mod'n'Mini or 1320 Autos for little fuss.

I guess the moral of this story is, always keep liquids in a bag or better yet, a plastic box.

Get a 2nd hand one from 1320's - will make for a nicer install and if you want to cut it up a bit then you wont feel so bad as you will be doing to the a 2nd carpet and not a brand new one from BMW...
