Default Strange noise and vibration

My car was at my local garage today in order to try to get to the bottom of an unusual humming sound coming from my engine and also an odd vibration from the clutch pedal.

It’s one of these flippin intermittent faults which I hate because garages just come back saying they couldn’t find anything wrong with it, which they did do today.

I'm convinced its the flywheel but what are peoples thoughts?

Doesn't sound good... How's performance? Does the car still pull well through the gears?

yeah. but it could be the clutch on it's way out. stick it in top gear and leave the hand brake on, try to pull away. if it kinda revs a bit it's on it's way out but if it stalls straight away it'll be fine

everyone should do this when going to look at any car (unless it's an auto )

Lol, I knew you would say something about Kate, nice isn’t she

I cant believe this myself but this noise has not happened since I took it in to Saffron Autos so I cant press down the clutch to see if the noise disappears

I'm no expert but I dont think its the thrust bearing because the thrust bearing went on my Cooper and the sound is alot different, besides the noise is most noticeable when the car is standing still idle-a thrust bearing only comes into effect when the car is pulling through the gears doesn’t it

The car doesnt feel right thats for sure, definitely doesnt pull like it did and the clutch at times feels crunchy, but not all the time
