Default Strange Engine Noise :'(

Hey guys, sorry its been a while, i've had a mega busy year at work!

over the last month or so my '02 Cooper S has had a strange noise.
It starts off sounding like a belt is loose, with a whine/squeal but after a while it turns into a more rubbing sound which is only noticable when theres low revs or idle, as soon as any power is put on it goes, but by the time its been driven around a bit it gets to be quite loud. its really staring to worry me,,
any ideas?

Jay

Could be time to have your supercharger belt changed.

I was also going to suggest inspecting all drive belts for tension and condition.

Thanks guys, it's getting unnerving...
Is anyone aware of somewhere close to Warwick/Birmingham where it'd be cheap to fix?
How much of a big neccesity is it? I obviously want to fix it, but need to find some money first!

I had a rubbing a while back but that was to do with the charger pulley (alta) changed it for a KAVS one and noise went away , also change belts as advised
