Default Viper induction Kit and K&N Filters

Has an one suffered from the problem of too much cold air being forced through the induction kits during winter running?
The reason I ask this as im not sure weather to run an induction kit or to just change the standard filter to a K&N !

Cheers

Cold air is a good thing. The colder the better.

I'd go for a kit I ran a filter on my old One and a kit on my MCS and haven't noticed any ill effects in driving all year round.

warm air is more of an issuse, enclosed induction is the way forward, if you have a massive cone you will suck in hot air from the engine losing power, with the mini ones and coopers its probably best to keep it enclosed, all the S drivers mostly use JCW airboxes or Dave.f's from what I have seen/told from the experts
