Default Be-Kool FMIC opportunity

Is there anyone local that would like to be one of the first to get their hands on a Be-Kool FMIC for an r53 Cooper S?

This is a one time offer at a significantly lower price.

Running a FMIC means that you won't have to worry about high IATs again. I've been testing v2 of the FMIC for some time and can confirm that it out performs the GP TMIC in both temps and power.

If someone is interested, your must be able to be without your car for around 2 weeks. The car will be photographed throughout the build stage and the photos will be used in the Be-Kool literature and on the website.

Please note that the plastic shroud which includes the front air intake, will be removed. If you don't want anything like that cut/removed, then this isn't for you.

What's included:

Be-Kool Alloy Radiator (1050 constructed)
Revotec Slimline High Performance 12" Suction fan
Be-Kool Fan Controller Bracket
Be-Kool Alloy fabricated Supercharger Outlet pipe
Be-Kool Alloy fabricated Intercooler to Inlet pipe
Be-Kool Alloy Water Pipe
Be-Kool 50mm Intercooler
Be-Kool Ram Air Scoop & Feed
Performance Silicone Hose Kit
9 x Hose Clips

If anyone is seriously interested and would like to discuss this further, please send me a PM with questions etc. The cost will not be posted on here and will only be made available to those that are genuinely interested.

Sounds interesting - alot of potential in this product so would be good to see some more people using it and get some results from it

Bound to be a good reduction too so sounds like a nice opportunity; yet another time I regret selling my JCW

I've had some great results from mine and it out performs the GP IC in back to back tests. IATs 3-4 degrees above ambient on a steady run. On colds days I had half a degree to 2 degrees above ambient. With hard acceleration the temps obviously rise, but they recover very quickly indeed. If you have good power you want to keep it and not lose out to heat soak, a FMIC is the way to go.

I didnt get much data on IATs with my car (no scangauge) but one instance I do remember is that prior to a dyno pull the IATs were 15 deg C higher than ambient ! And that was at ~1C and with the GP IC...

I've tested a few Intercoolers and I found that they averaged out as follows

GP 13 Degrees above ambient
GRS standard 13 Degrees above ambient
GRS Chargecooler 12 Degrees above ambient
Be-Kool 4 Degrees above ambient

The top mounts suffered badly from heat soak and took a while to cool down again. The Chargecooler was better, but once the liquid was hot, it took a fair while to cool down. I found that it recovered quicker than the top mounts though.

Be-Kool being front mount with a ram air system recovers very fast indeed.

That sounds pretty good How did the power levels compare ? I presume that lower intakes = higher power... ?

For sure. The cooler things are the better. As soon as things get hot, ignition is retarded so less power is available.
