What you'll need is something like a Dension Ice Link. This plugs in to the back of your current stereo. It will basically plug into the port that the CD cable is plugged into. (Unfortunately you can't have both) BMW offer something similar but Dension is best IMHO. I have the Dension link in my car and have the cradle feed through into the glovebox. Last time I looked the Dension/BMW options ranged up to £150. Have a look at the Dension site for the lastest pricing.

Very straight forward. You'll need to take your stereo out. (pull it forward so you can get to the back of it) Taking out the Downtubes makes it all much easier. Once you can see the rear, unplug the CD prep plug. The glovebox has a little plastic flap that can be removed. Put the Dension cradle in the glovebox and feed the cable through the hole and then plug it into the back of the stereo. Push the stereo back in, refit the downtubes, job done.

Or buy my BMW iPod Interface if it's still available and save yourself a few quid!
