It's been road tested and performs very well. Keeps IATs under control very effectively. The car will be dynoed very shortly.

Improvement on the chargecooler / GRS ? That is your car isnt it... I can tell from the mini badge and CC front grills... you sneaky man

Do you know if you have to have the rad and fan too if going for the FMIC ? I would rather just the new FMIC and new horns for fitting - would save alot of costs.....

The rad is replaced as the standard one is too big. The new rad is slightly smaller and has been lowered slightly, as has the aircon rad.

I've found that it handles the IATs very well, and recovers very quickly. Compared to the other IC's I've had (GRS, GP and Chargecooler) it beats them all. The best I had was the GRS Chargecooler and that had IATS 14-16 degrees above ambient. (ambient temp was 15-16 degrees) Once the Chargecooler coolant was hot though, it took quite a while to cool down. On recent road tests with an ambient of 16 degrees the FMIC went to 8 degrees above ambient. On hard acceleration it rises slowly , but drops quickly when you take your foot off of the loud pedal and then settles at 8 degrees above. More tests and some dyno action will be forthcoming. All the test results will be posted on MT in the Be Kool thread.

This kit is ideal for everyday use, not just the track. You'll be able to keep the IATs lower with this.

Does look good, looking forward to seeing some results. The price isnt bad either for all that kit.

How long do you reckon it'll be before Graham at GRS creates something like this

I doubt he will. He did look at it, but decided against it.

So far the road tests are giving good results. More tests to follow though. More testing will commence next week.

Sure, Dyno results will be posted as soon as they are available. You'll be able to see the car at the Carr's Open day too. If you really wanted too, you'd be able to sell the GRS on without any difficulty.
