Default aero grill fitting

he had a quick attempt at fitting the grill the other day but didnt want to break anything so i tohught id leave it till i get some feed back
i have read the guides ect but i cant get the stock clips off the grill without them braking the plastic lugs on grill
and they metal hex/round shaped retaining nuts that secure the grill on i cant get them to fit on the new grill?

is there an easier way to get them off in one piece and get them on the new grill?

or is there an alternative method of attaching the grill with maybe proper nuts?

want to get this on soon as my JCW carbon vent arrived its awsome!

regards G

Yeah screw driver behind hex lugs , pry them , 10mm socket them off using screwdriver to force lug onto socket and just undo like a normal nut , I've done 4 or 5 and they are a piece of piss , I take it you've got replacement lugs as you will need new ones

sorry i meant screw driver behind the hex nuts
and when you put new grill on you have to create a thread by force turning the hex metal nuts with a socket set

A bit of advice, buy new hex nuts. I was in a hurry to fit the grill on the car when I fitted the aero kit and reused the nuts which damaged the lugs and caused me to ruin the grill!!

Please don't do what I did. The nuts are a few pence each so not worth taking the risk using old nuts. This is because the nuts cut a thread onto the lug and the old nuts can be blunt depending on the age of your car.
