they do fit but you have to do a bit of splicing and cutting of the oem plinth to get them flush. well worth it though for the subtle but nice effect they give off. led bulbs off ebay are spottable a mile off.

Ask them for E92 M3 Number plate bulbs. Its a sealed unit £18 each and you need 4 pins approx 20 pence.

nice flush fit

awesome lighting

it is easy, just take your time, 45 mins top. I am crap with things like this, so if I can do it anyone come.

Well going for the oem route as the quality is higher and no flickering as there is a resistor built into the circuit board. For those with R56 you will get no bulb warning light.

Also not a fan of ebay bulbs, they look too max power. I know its only a subtle difference, but if you look at these lights in the dark, the reflector on the unit has been optimised to give even light coverage across the number plate.

The ebay bulbs behind standard units just have too much light coming from one spot and look chav imo. The photo above doesnt accurately represent as I held the shutter open too long, but look at a BMW / Lexus next time it passes you at night and see the difference.

I would rather have the oem BMW part, rather than the BMW "look". Its these subtle differences that make the car look OEM + rather than the "driven through halfords" look.

my ones look better then yours though, you can see the circles of light under your rear no plate bulbs, you cant on mine it just bathes it and does not flicker, i think Nik has got the same type in his r56?

i did all my interior lights in LED too, looks the nads, you jsut need 4 side light LED 501's and a interior festoon LED

I did look at them I could get them for 14 quid for the set but I didn't like the sounds of trying to get them to fit/work but that was a man from BMW
