number 1in anthracite and 18s if you dont mind the extra tyre costs, will look better but 17s will be cheaper and (so Im told) ride better... Im biased and would want 18s but Im probably going to try 17s next just to see what all the fuss is about....

Back in the fold... but being tempted out again...

I would have to say option 1 Paul.... 18's fill the arches nicely but you may get scrubbing if you lower it & get the wrong size tyres.
As Dave says 17's are meant to be a better ride quality but I've had no problems with my new 18's.

Just make sure you get normal tyres instead of run-flats and a can of tyre weld
