Default CADES grill-Help

Feeling a little frustrated because I know this has been bought up hundreds of times but I'm struggling to remove the bottom grill on my standard cooper s bumper.

Do I need to remove the bumper to remove the grill? Just want to be 110% sure I need to do this before doing it.

Thanks
