H / K Any good?
Whats the HK system like on the 1st gen ?? Ive wanted to upgrade my stereo for a while and now that the rear seats are out I could do with a little bit extra from the stereo....
Excluding costs - is it any good ??? Does it work with the OEM ipod connection ? Cheers Keano

I couldn't live without it, excellent system
Cant comment on the Ipod connectivity but cant see why not.

I have the H/K system on my S and def rate it!
I would say though that going the aftermarket route may be a better/cheaper option than retrofitting the H/K system. Depends on how much you could get it for.

Thanks for the responses
 I think Im going to get it, the only sticking point is ipod connection - Im assuming it will work as the HK is just an amp and speakers so shouldnt be a problem from what I can tell... Im getting a good price on it - alot less than the dealer price of £750 - and am having a bash at the installation myself with some help from someone who knows what they are doing... which is the best part of it Think its 8hours labour or something silly from the dealer so thats a bit saving on the retrofit side of things...

Ive already got an ipod link in the glovebox - i was just asking whether it will work with the HK, but thanks for the heads up

You can't go wrong with the h/k even if you pay dealer Money its still worth every penny.
Have you still got a standard head unit?
