Angry Gearbox/clutch trouble???????

I own a 2002 cooper which i am currently experiencing trouble with the clutch??

It is an itermitant problem causing the car to judder sometimes when pulling away from a stand still. I took it to a garage 3months ago with the same problem and was told i needed a new clutch so had work carried out but is doing same thing again when pulling away from stand still only now it comes with a second problem!
Agian this is an itermitant problem- sometimes when engine is taken over 4,000rpm (eg on fast accelleration or when on motorway when under load or heavy car) the engine suddenly revs and have no drive in all gears over 4,000rpm as if i have pressed clutch down????

I took car back to garage where the clutch was replaced today and had no idea of what is causing problem????
They say it maybe clutch plate which would be replaced under warrenty or maybe flywheel which wont be under warrenty or maybe something else but need to contact mini sites/bmw garage for clues?

Has anyone else experianced simmilar trouble or have in idea on the fault as the monkeys at garage dont seem to know!!

Many thanks
Jon

Could be the clutch plate slipping... Did they change the flywheel when they changed the clutch? What garage did you take it to? Would be best to take to the likes of ModnMini, 1320Mini etc... They'd be able to tell you straight away...

sounds like the clutch is overheating alot causing it to warp, id try a new flywheel if it occurs again!
