Default Front bumper will just not budge!

Evening all,

I need some help please? We're currently trying to get the front bumper off my Mini. We've taken all the screws out & there is just one bolt that keeps spinning around & just does not want to come out!!

Does anyone have any suggestions please? At present Toby is trying to remove the bolt with a power drill, i'm slightly concerned!

Any advice gratefully appreciated!

Try and get a pair of pliers on it and try and pull it out. If not get the head of a flat screwdriver underneath the head of the bolt, between the bumper. Apply some leverage and turn the bolt. This should hopefully put some pressure on the thread and get a bite.

Just cut the head off with a hacksaw. Do you need to re-use the hole to mount the new bumper on? If so, you'll need to get a special tool or find another way of fixing it.

My Dad pulled the bolt out but the bolt was attached to some kind of clip & that also came out! The new bumper has only just gone on, been a right old nightmare!

Flippin' heck, you must be working in the dark unless you've got a garage!

Yep we were working in the garage. We've now hit another problem the front grill won't attach properly. I can't believe all the problems we're having with this bloody aero kit & it's an official one from BMW! I think we're going to have to do a bodge job with the aero grill

Hey Lisa,

Where did you get the Aero kit from and how much it cost you?

Ta,

Chris
