Have a look on MiniTorque at the Hybrid Airboxes made by Dave.F, these are going for a shade over £100, look standard, but out perform the uber expensive JCW Airbox. I've just bought one and will be fitting it soon...

+1 ^^ The CAI on MT looks like its going to be a very good mod... Out performs the JCW even Joe? Is that because of a different filter? Only I thought it was basically a copy of the JCW box/design?

I need to pull my finger out and get an ITG filter.....

Yes, It's of a similar design. The filter is very good and the box doesn't have the flap like the JCW box does... Jove tested it and the results were impressive...

So it sounds like removing the flap will have some benefits besides noise then afterall, even if they are only marginal... (?)

Dave F has lready sold 10. He is now working on the next 10. A group by is in place for them. @ Dave - Removing the flap does improve things as normally it will only open at 4.5krpm. Without it you'll be sucking the air from the scuttle area all the time... Will def be worth getting an ITG filter though...

Thanks Joe. When I get my health check done at 1320 I think I will get them to do a before and after dyno test with the filter/flap mod to see what difference is - would be interesting to see the improvements... I would guess low/mid range would improve but that top end would remain unchanged...

400 miles and then I can book it in...

sleety - try here matey
