Hello all does any one know how much you can get away with without making the warranty becoming void?

I'm sure the answer is jcw parts

Thanks sleety

It will probably depend upon how well you get on with your garage TBH... Only nonOEM parts I have at the moment are GTT brake discs and all that happens is that they make a note on your report that non standard items are fitted. I think the main problem would arise if a problem occurs which involved (or they could link) to a non standard part...

It will also depend upon what parts your after...

As Keano says it does depend on your relationship with your dealership. Most are okay with you having non OEM parts providing they are not the direct cause of any problems you may encounter and wish to investigate under warranty. I started modding my MINI almost from the minute I got it and never had any issues with the dealership and warranty. Problem is if they can try and blame it on a modification and try to charge you then they will!
