Default Door Handles...

I'm currently de-chroming every aspect of my coopers S. Most bit's that are chrome are being made satin black to match my JCW alloys (I'll get round to sorting out some pics on here one day soon ).

Anyway, my questions is does anyone know if the passenger door handle will fit the drivers door to make the car keyless entry. Only a small detail, but as I am gonna buy me some handles to spray prior to fitting I thought it would be a nice idea to remove the lock as it never gets used anyway!

I'm looking at losing chrome handles too thinking of using black jack handles as are plastic so should make easier to paint, I checked on REALOEM for handle part numbers and they are same for LHD and RHD so will fit but may have to modify lock mechanism as this is not part of handle.

Cool, I'm off to find myself some second hand passenger door handles and disappearing into the garage with a spray can....

Just bear in mind that if your battery dies you may not be able to get into your car... When my battery died the only way I could get in was by using the key...
