so i have a set of S door pins in aluminium i have had them for nearly a year now but i dont know how to fit them to the car, i dont want to do it myself incase i brake the door im very clumsy, just wondering wether anyone has taken there car to a local garage not mini and had them do it? im guessing its a quick easy job, i can expect it will cost a lot anyone had this done or know the kinda priced id be charged?

i believe you have to remove the door panels to do that task,it should be DIY job

im crap at things like this i wouldnt know how 2 remove the door cards and if i did id end up braking summit, the door pins are the rods on the door that go up and down when the car is locked or opened, the stock ones are black plastic and look horrible.

Gotcha...
I've never done it on a MINI but from past experience, just take your time and don't force anything - it's also well worth lying a sheet of some kind underneath the door as you are working on it, just incase any fittings or stuff fall through.

It's not difficult taking the door cards off. I'm just doing the door cards in carbon so if you take your time you will be fine. If you're concerned buy a haynes manual as that has helped me from time to time

so guess how much mini have quoted me to fit them £85, im gettin it serviced today they could of at least done it cheaper,
