Hi everyone. I posted this on M2 yesterday and have had one response back but it was less than helpful, hopefully someone here may have an idea?;

"My Quicksilver supersport cat back is fairly new, I purchased it roughly four months ago. Ever since I've fitted it its had a strange whistle coming from it when it hits around 4300 rpm, but only when I give the car full throttle, if I give dont quite give it full throttle its OK.

I did contact Paul at Quicksilver explaining this and he emailed back saying "is it a nice whistle" "how loud is the whistle", not sure if he was serious or not. Does anybody here have any ideas what is causing this. My friend thinks it has something to do with my intake; I have a stock intake with normal filter.

One other thing, its very raspy at certain revs and again when giving it full throttle, will that go in time? I'm hoping for answers on here because at the moment I'm close to asking Paul to take it back and I could do without all that pelava".

Just to say that I did respond to Paul at Quicksilver but I didnt get a response

Don't know what to say i'm afraid mate, the only suggestion I could make was to go out for a drive with someone who has a good ear and get them to sit in the front and the back to ascertain where the noise is coming from.

Can you notice any vapour coming out from under the car when starting up cold? May have a poor seal.

My Playmini is fairly raspy, I did worry about it at first but have grown to love it - it will bed in and 'soot-up' the more you use it and possibly get deeper.

I have heard it and by paul calling it a whistle he seems daft its full on rasp wen he boots it! Sounds nice through the revs but wen u pull away or drop a gear and hit over about 4k revvs is sounds like the thing is blowing not nice at all its a noise that ruins the exhaust in my opinion
