Default Icelink Help!

Hi
Recently purchased an icelink. Believe its the V4 version as its in a hard case instead of the old school shrink wrap!
Have got the H/K sound system and also the NAV and it seems to be the NAV causing the issues when it comes to TEXT!
With the text, it just kicks off the navigation and displays it onscreen as if there is a phone connected.

This morning it was saying speed dial kanye west haha...

Anyway... I think I have sussed it by switching the text off!! The radio now just displays TR01 etc and nothing pops up on the nav screen when flicking tracks via the stereo etc.
Am I right in saying that this will have to be the case and that I can not use text if I want to keep the nav as it is?

It doesn't bother me too much but the text would be nice!
I looked on Densions website and was a bit confused as to what firmware update to install as I couldn't see the splash screen come up when I hooked up the ipod. The updates which I did see were for mainly new ipod compatibility though rather than anything else.

Have scoured the net and a lot of people have had similar issues with regards to the NAV. Anyone on here had any probs?

ALSO: I noticed there is a volt option under sound. Any specific option to set here? Its 2V at the mo I believe. Just curious.

Other than that though, ipod connectivity text or no text is still great to have!

Cheers,

LOL at speed dialing Kanye West! I had a stupid amount of trouble with the Dension Icelink. Mine was poor connectivity though. I have HK but no sat nav so not sure what your problem could be.

You could always try getting in touch with Mikey the Mini on MINI2 or contact him via his website which is www.newministuff.com as he'll more than likely know the answer as he is the MINI ice guru!

Good luck!

I found out about the intravee after getting the icelink grrrrrr.... and it seems a more stable solution for the nav users.
No probs at all today though since disabling the text and also the Telephone option on the nav has disapeered so no more speed dialling Kanye West or Lady GaGa (don't laugh! guilty pleasure!)
Will speak to Mikey about the icelink and see if there is any firmware or support out there.
In terms of sound though, everythings all good and working!
