Default DNA Detailing - Winter Prep

During the winter months of late, the weather has been unrelenting causing damage to the roads and, in turn, our cars. The salt, rain and freezing temperatures have done signification harm to vehicles. To prevent against the elements we at DNA Detailing supply a Winter Prep service which is designed to minimise the effect of the weather on our cars.

We use synthetic waxes such as Collinite 915 or Finish Kare wax over the top of glazes to provide strong durability and visual. This gives a solid 6 months protection but more to the point it protects the paint from harsh road salts and water.
For maximum protection I like to give the paint 3 coats spilt over 12-24 hours to allow enough time for the wax the fully cure before the next layer goes on, each extra coat is availble at additional cost - please contact us for information.

For MiniClubUK members (mini owners) the Winter Protect service be provided for £60. This will include:
  • Full wash including clay and Tar removal
  • Light machine polish - purely to refine the finish (no defect removal)
  • Full paint protection from synthetic wax
  • Full wheel cleanse and protection using heat resistant products
  • All plastics coated in 303 Aerospace protectant

The job will take between 4 and 6 hours to complete, last up to 6 months and give your paint the protection it needs over winter.

This service works very well when combined with a Full Paint Correction Detail to maintain the finish for even longer.

For further information please email Andy@dna-detailing.co.uk, alternatively you can call on 07709 430886. Please note we have to account for fuel costs and these are in addition to the base price. All costs are quoted on an individual basis, 50p per mile when outside of a 20 mile radius of CM0.

Thanks,

Andy

I would say some time in sept for the winter prep. What could you do for £60 in terms of a summer detail / paint correction ?

The same service but a wax or sealent better suited for summer (more showy than hardcore protection),paint correction is £150 and you get the full works for that price as it will take all day oppose to 4 hours ,and who knows maybe itll give it a extra couple of horsepower as its soooooo smooth lol.
let us know mate

Im currently in the middle of a good cleaning job on my car so may wait and see how that turns out - I think I would need to do the full £150 jobbie really - so may wait and see with regards to the summer job...

The winter prep job will probably better suited to what is needed at the right time...

Hi Dave,

Personally I think you would be better off with a full correction detail topped with a wax of your choice. Then you will be able to maintain the finish with ease - as long as you follow the correct wash procedure!!

Thanks,

Andy

Your right Im sure but thats money that I would end up spending on mods - £60 i can afford to go towards paint prep... The £90 extra is too much for me at the mo... I will stop hijacking the thread now, and move to the summer prep one instead
